I met you a couple of years ago (with my husband Christopher) at the colored sawdust festival (can&#39;t remember what the day is called when the designs are made with colored sawdust instead of flower petals). We have an apartment on via Montalbano, right above Piazza Tanucci and spend about three months a year in Stia.<br /><br />I am interested in what happened at Vallucciole and was doing a little on-line research last night when I came across your blog. I am not much of a blog reader, but like reading anything that has to do with Stia. <br /><br />Anyway, I have enjoyed your photos and writing about life and food. Porcospino in the pot? I was sending a text to a friend who is having a fund raiser at her home called &quot;Bono Notte&quot;... I made some aprons for her waiters and bar towels. She sent me a photo and I replied tuto mangia...wanting to spell it correctly I checked it via Google and here I am. Your heart wrenching account about Vallucciole brought me to tears. Your video and music touching. Thank you for this written account, I will note this date on my calendar and will pass this on to those who I know would care. My husband and son have traveled all over Eruope for the past 9 years. They are WWII buffs, and have been to Italy several times include. Anzio Beach. My Grandfather was from Northern Italy and my Great Grandfather on my mothers side from Southern Italy. I have been to Italy several times, just recently to Florence and Venice. I wish you the best. I never liked the ricotta version that was made popular by Americans of southern Italian origin. My first remberence as a child of eating lasagna had its origin from a recipe on Mueller's lasgana noodles box that my mother made.
